Lacking in Service February 4, 2025 by Carrie ( CA )
“Had no concept of how difficult it could be to have a decent card printed and mailed. I placed an order in November 2024. First, the proof approval is not intuitive. I figured it out and finally get my order fully submitted. A couple weeks go by, I receive no updates. I finally call customer service, turns out they no longer offer print and mail services I had SELECTED ON THE WEBSITE and checked out with on my order. Zero proactive contact from them regarding this, I'm sure the order would have sat in limbo indefinitely if I hadn't reached out. The CS agent acknowledges it's a known issue and they have requested that service type be removed, what the hold up is to make that happen I can only imagine. Then, as we're discussing the order, he says there's an issue with the sticker. He explains that they were going to mail the card (your classic 4X6" card with a fold in the middle) without an envelope and instead with a round sticker to keep the card shut. What in the world, why would anyone order that, and why would you execute on that when that's not in my order. So the cards finally make it to the post office, somehow they can track each card even though it's stamped mail with no tracking number. The cards took MONTHS to arrive at recipient mailboxes. CS blamed USPS, I've mailed cards across the country that took a couple of weeks, not m o n t h s. All in all, it is fine service if you have no standards for how your order is fulfilled.”

“First order got delayed and inexplicably returned to Texas. After a couple more days of trying to figure things out, convinced Print Place to rush re-print and rush deliver a new order. Feel like once the order started heading back to TX a new order should have been started. Delivery may be out of their control but their reaction could be better. And the original order did eventually get delivered over a month later.”

“I had thank you cards printed for my daughter's wedding. They were promised for a specific day, but didn't come til after her wedding so I didn't get to see the hard copy before, the proof looked great but the actual cards were pixelated.”

“I'm usually pleased with PP, but these cards look dark and pixelated. The photos were hi-res (I just had it printed on an 18" x 24" canvas and it came out perfectly clear.) I can't sell these as is.”

Worst product and customer experience ever. January 31, 2025 by Darris Harris ( IL )
“Worst product and customer experience ever. After more than a decade of using Print Place, I may not ever use them again. Where do I even start? I asked for help in laying out the cards, and only received automated replies. When I did get a reply to the proof, they said the artwork wasn't sharp, which wasn't true; it was very sharp. When I received the cards, they didn't print the inside of the card. I had new cards shipped, only to have them not cut straight. They would've believe me, so I had to ship the incorrectly cut cards back, only to have them say this was acceptable. I refused the order, since they were literally cut crooked and had an overlap. Again, when I got a reply to the proof, they said they layout was off, and they moved the art; and that I had used the wrong color space. But when I superimposed the artwork to the proof, it had not been moved, and I'm 100% certain I used the correct CMYK space (again, I've been doing this for over ten years). Nina the manager couldn't have acted less interested. She hardly even spoke, as if she was making a grocery list instead of helping me. So overall, it took three attempts for Print Place to ship cards. It's a joke. I felt ignored and gas lighted, and with three rounds of cards, I saw how inconsistent Print Place is with printing. Someone tell me why I should use Print Place next time.”

Create Impactful Messages in Your Custom Greeting Cards

Every time you print your greeting cards, customers feel extra special from the personalized gesture. Here's how you can strengthen the impact of every message through design and the materials used:

1. Select a size that fits and provides breathing room for all the elements.

We offer two standard sizes for greeting cards. These dimensions refer to the product size once folded:
  • 4.25" x 6" is what you usually see in bookstores and stationery shops. It is small enough to store inside an A6 envelope and deliver with larger packages.
  • 5" x 6.875" is recommended for those who need a little more space for their custom greetings

2. Print on material and coating that elevates the meaning of your greeting card.

How the customized greeting feels on the hand strengthens the impression it makes on the recipient. Choose from sturdy cardstock that shows how much you value every customer:

  • 10 pt. cardstock is slightly thicker than a standard magazine cover. We recommend this for businesses that need sturdy but lightweight and affordable cardstock.
  • 14 pt. cardstock is the standard material seen on most business cards and recommended for special occasions like birthdays and holidays.
  • 16 pt. cardstock is the thickest stock available. We highly recommend this for other meaningful holidays like Mother's Day, Valentine's, or Women's Month

You can also add protective coating that highlights the colors and visual aspects of the message.

  • Gloss gives your message or visual design that bright shine. This highly reflective coating also protects your card from scratches and scuffs.
  • Matte has the least glare and adds a smooth, muted finish that suits light and neutral colors. Perfect for lengthier messages that you'd want customers to linger on while reading
  • High gloss UV has the brightest shine and adds that much-needed pop for bold color combinations.

Want to include a handwritten message or write the customer's name yourself? Print custom greeting cards on 14 pt. cardstock that's uncoated on one or both sides. Having the surface uncoated makes it writable and provides that rustic, natural finish.

3. Add folding to build anticipation before revealing the custom greeting.

Both available sizes refer to the dimensions of the card once folded. If you prefer to fold them yourself, choose "no folding" so we can ship the cards flat with scoring that shows where you can fold them in half.

4. Complete the experience with personalized envelopes.

Add an A6 envelope to your custom greeting cards order. This inclusion makes direct mail deliveries or manual prep of your cards more accessible. It also gives an extra personalized touch whenever you send a greeting card.
